To our Valued Customers and Supportive Community

April 1, 2020

Throughout the last 38 years, Das Dutch Haus Restaurant has appreciated and immensely enjoyed our valued customers and supportive community. Whether you are dining in at one of our tables in the restaurant, picking up a dozen of delicious donuts or a quart of homemade soup from the carryout counter, allowing us to bake a sweet treat for your birthday, anniversary, or wedding, or looking for something unique in our charming gift shop; our staff always anticipates your arrival, friendship, laughter, and overwhelming loving relationship. We have become a strong family together with many memories inside and outside the restaurant’s walls.

This strong respect and love for one another during this time has prompted our hearts to make a difficult decision. In order to keep our managers, staff, customers, and community safe and healthy, we feel it is best to temporarily close our kitchen and bakery for a short period of time. Even though our doors will be closed briefly, our hearts and friendship will still stay connected in many ways.  Today, March 31st, Das Dutch Haus Restaurant will temporarily be closed starting at 7pm tonight. We plan on being closed no longer than necessary. Please continue to visit our website and Facebook page to get the latest updates on the next time we will see each other soon! Our owners, managers, and staff, truly look forward to serving you again soon!

Until we see each other again soon, our owners want to leave you with a word of encouragement from Psalm 46: 1-2, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble. Therefore we will not fear.” May God be a peace in your life bringing grace, hope, and safety to you and your family.

With Highest Regards,

Horst & Witmer Families
