Calling All Southern Gospel Music Lovers …

April 6, 2017

Just in time for a Spring outing or an overnight getaway, and straight from Southern Gospel music territory deep in the heart of Tennessee, the world-famous Chuck Wagon Gang will appear at the Dutch Village Inn on our dinner-theater stage this month.

Three fabulous concerts by this renowned gospel quartet are slated in April at the Inn — one of the region’s most popular hotel and banquet centers – a 12:00 pmmatinee on April 20 & 21 and a 7:00 pm performance on Friday, April 21
From local radio in the 1930’s to the Grand Ole Opry and Carnegie Hall, this premier southern gospel group is the oldest mixed gospel group with ties to its original founding that is still performing and recording after eight decades. D.P. “Dad” Carter formed the group in 1935 and since then this amazing quartet has sold over 40 million records and has been showered with dozens of national musical awards and accolades.
Voted the number one gospel group of all time by Southern Gospel Radio, the group maintains a true, clear and uncluttered sound, presenting all of the old favorites like I’ll Fly Away, Higher, I’ll Meet You in the Morning and many others in the recognizable style of pure gospel music. The Dutch Village Inn is truly proud to present on its stage Shaye Smith, Stan Hill, Jeremy Stephens & Melissa Kemper – the Chuck Wagon Gang – for three hand-clapping performances. The April 21evening performance includes a four-course gourmet buffet and the matinees feature a four-course plated luncheon, all prepared on site by the Inn’s talented chef and her staff.
Tailor-made for church and family groups of all ages, the Inn offers a special discount rate for groups of 8 or more for this show.
